As a lazy blogger, my last promise to my readers - should I have any remaining!?! - was that I would post a review of the critical responses to the film adaptation of Prince Caspian and my own responses to the film.
That task is almost done - I have been trawling and scribbling, and intend to post the thing, in chunks, before too long (promises, promises!!!).....
Meanwhile, and in a dash before some family holiday-time, I felt I could not let the moment pass without adding my voice to the clamour of support for Dave Walker and Sam Norton, in their principled and brave pursuit of fair and factual comment on the matter of the takeover of former-SPCK bookshops by the charity SSG.
The best way into this long-running saga is, at present, via Sam's blog. For starters, follow this link, here.
Sam, like Dave before him, has been served an unpleasant 'cease and desist' order by J. Mark Brewer of SSG. This is the worst kind of bullying behaviour and thoroughly reprehensible for a Christian.
I am very proud to publicly support the refusal to be bullied which has been enacted by Sam, and the tenacious, careful monitoring of SSG which has been pursued by Dave over a lengthy period.
